In this analysis of NooCube, a popular nootropic supplement from Wolfson Brands, I assess it’s claims and effectiveness having just completed a 12 month test taking the product. Wolfson Brands is known for its high-quality and innovative health products. My goals here are to assess it’s true effectiveness on me and to also determine if NooCube meets the expectations set by it’s very strong and positive reputation.
I must clarify upfront that NooCube underwent a major reformulation in February 2024. I was among the first to test this new version, which reflects the brand's efforts to improve the product. I was advised that this revised formula is designed to further enhance cognitive performance and memory, and my review will assess the validity of these new claims. As you can understand, I was truly excited to test out this new version.
After my trial of almost 12 months, on top of reporting back how it made me feel and the real world effects, I shall also be evaluating the scientific evidence supporting it’s claims, and doing an analysis on it’s ingredients and dosage levels too. These are very important elements when critiquing a nootropic. My intention is to offer a thorough, detailed review of this cognitive enhancement supplement, helping you to decide if it is a suitable choice for your specific needs.
What is NooCube? More information:
It’s widely known that NooCube ranks among the most popular nootropic supplements worldwide, offering a mix of ingredients designed to boost brain function and enhance cognitive abilities.
Mental enhancement: NooCube's main objective is to help consumers achieve better mental clarity and cognitive function. The brand, while not making specific claims, markets NooCube as a means to improve focus, memory, and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, it also suggests that the supplement may alleviate cognitive fatigue associated with prolonged screen use, a common issue.
Science-driven ingredients: A notable feature of NooCube is it’s reliance on scientifically studied ingredients. I believe that this approach reflects the brand's commitment to thorough research and precise formulation, and helps to indicate that each component has been carefully studied for its potential role in cognitive function.
Well recognised in the marketplace: NooCube has established itself as a significant player in the nootropic market, being known for supporting various aspects of mental performance. I can see that it appears to provide a broad approach to enhancing brain function without making explicit promises about the results.
I have extensively tested NooCube's latest formulation to evaluate it’s real impact on my cognitive performance. Before sharing my own findings, I will examine the specific ingredients and scientific evidence supporting NooCube's potential benefits.
Scientific assessment of NooCube's claims:
Having studied the claims of the product and some of the academic research which helps to support the claims, I will evaluate NooCube's claims regarding its ability to enhance cognitive functions based on its ingredient profile and ingredient dosages. I will go through each claim as follows:
Gain razor-sharp focus: NooCube contains L-theanine, an amino acid known for its potential to promote relaxation and improve focus. However, the dosage of L-theanine in NooCube is 100mg, which is good because it is within the typical range found to be effective. Therefore, there is scientific support for this claim regarding focus enhancement.
Improve problem-solving skills: Bacopa Monnieri, found in NooCube at a dosage of 250mg, has been studied for its cognitive-enhancing effects. Research suggests that it may enhance cognitive functions, including problem-solving skills. That ingredient research is relevant, but does not prove this specific benefit from the finished NooCube formula.
Boost memory & mental alertness: Bacopa Monnieri and L-tyrosine in NooCube have shown potential in enhancing memory and alertness. The forms, dosages and study populations matter, so those findings do not establish the same effects from NooCube’s serving.
Protect eyes from electronics-related "screen fatigue": NooCube contains LuteMax 2020, which contains lutein and zeaxanthin, known for their eye health benefits. While these compounds may help protect against eye strain, I feel that more research is needed to establish a direct link between these ingredients and protection from screen fatigue. The assessed label lists 20mg of LuteMax 2020. That mixture’s weight should not be treated as 20mg of pure lutein.
Reduce fatigue-related brain fog: Panax Ginseng, present in NooCube at a dosage of 20mg, has been traditionally used for its potential to combat fatigue. However, this is an 8:1 concentrate, so its weight cannot be directly compared with the same weight of unextracted ginseng, and I feel that more research is needed really in order to support this specific claim.
In summary, my analysis here suggests that NooCube contains ingredients researched for focus, memory and mental alertness. However, ingredient studies do not establish every claimed benefit of the finished formula. The exact extracts, doses and study populations need to be considered, including when assessing claims about screen fatigue and fatigue-related brain fog.
My hands on experience with NooCube:

Overall, I would conclude that my testing period with NooCube's brand new formulation has yielded fairly remarkable results. I was eager to see if this brain-boosting supplement could live up to its claims, and what I found was overall very positive and often exceeded my expectations.
It provided me with sharper focus: NooCube claims to sharpen focus, and I found this to be true. Incorporating NooCube into my daily regime significantly improved my ability to concentrate on tasks. It felt like my mental clarity had been fine-tuned, allowing me to handle complex activities with precision and sustained attention.
Helped to improve my ability to solve problems: The supplement's promise to enhance problem-solving skills was evident. During our trial, I noticed a marked improvement in my ability to approach challenges strategically and find innovative solutions. This confirmed the cognitive benefits that NooCube claims to provide.
Helped me to have better memory and alertness: NooCube also aims to boost memory and mental alertness, and my experience supported this claim. I found it easier to recall important information and stay mentally sharp throughout demanding tasks. NooCube consistently delivered on its promise of improved cognitive function.
Reduced screen fatigue: With frequent screen use being a common part of modern life, I was interested in NooCube's ability to mitigate screen-related fatigue. While the effects on eye strain were subtle, I did find that there was a noticeable reduction in discomfort during long periods of screen exposure. Further investigation may be needed, but I would still say that my experience felt positive.
Helped to alleviate brain fog: One of the standout benefits of NooCube was it’s ability to reduce brain fog associated with fatigue. I felt that my mental exhaustion was significantly lessened, leading to greater clarity and alertness. This made NooCube especially valuable to me during intensive work periods.
Confidence in it’s scientific foundations: I took a lot of positives from the fact that NooCube's success is rooted in it’s scientifically backed ingredients. Each component, from Bacopa Monnieri to L-theanine, has demonstrated cognitive-enhancing properties. I have found that the extensive research behind these ingredients confirms that NooCube's formulation is based on rigorous scientific principles.
I feel that my overall experience with NooCube has been overwhelmingly positive, aligning closely with the brand's claims. It stands out for me as one of the most effective brain supplements that I have tested, delivering noticeable improvements in my cognitive performance. NooCube's ability to fulfil its promises makes it a standout choice for anyone seeking enhanced mental function.

Ingredients and evidence
LuteMax 2020 (20mg), Bacopa Monnieri (250mg), Panax Ginseng 8:1 Concentrate (20mg), Pterostilbene (140mcg), Resveratrol (14.3mg), L-theanine (100mg), L-tyrosine (250mg), Choline (100mg from 250mg choline bitartrate), Cat’s claw 4:1 Concentrate (175mg), Vitamin B1 (1.1mg), Vitamin B7 (50mcg), Vitamin B12 (2.5mcg)
The scientific evidence supporting the ingredients used in NooCube as nootropics is crucial in assessing the supplement's potential effectiveness. I have examined these ingredients, the studies and evidence behind them, and have compared them with NooCube's formula.
Bacopa Monnieri:
NooCube dosage: 250mg of Bacopa Monnieri.
Scientific evidence: Bacopa Monnieri has been extensively studied for it’s cognitive benefits, including memory enhancement and cognitive function improvement.
Dosage in studies: Effective dosages in studies often range from 250mg to 450mg per day.
Compared with NooCube: NooCube's dosage is at the lower end of the effective range, it still provides cognitive benefits but could be higher.
L-theanine:
NooCube dosage: 100mg of L-theanine.
Scientific evidence: L-theanine is known to promote relaxation without drowsiness and may enhance focus and attention.
Dosage in studies: Studies often use doses ranging from 100mg to 200mg.
Contrast with NooCube: NooCube's dosage is within the effective range, supporting its potential cognitive benefits.
L-tyrosine:
NooCube dosage: 250mg of L-tyrosine.
Scientific evidence: L-tyrosine is an amino acid with potential stress-reduction and cognitive benefits.
Dosage in studies: Tyrosine studies use different doses and conditions, often amounts substantially higher than NooCube’s 250mg serving.
Contrast with NooCube: Those higher-dose findings should not be assumed to apply directly to 250mg.
Choline:
NooCube dosage: 100mg of Choline from 250mg of choline bitartrate.
Scientific evidence: Choline is a precursor to acetylcholine, essential for memory and cognitive function.
Daily intake guidance: The adequate intake for adults is 425mg for women and 550mg for men, from food and supplements combined. These are nutritional intake targets, not proven nootropic doses.
Contrast with NooCube: NooCube contributes 100mg towards total daily choline intake. That does not by itself establish a cognitive benefit.
Panax Ginseng 8:1 Concentrate:
NooCube dosage: 20mg of Panax Ginseng 8:1 Concentrate.
Scientific evidence: Ginseng is traditionally used for its potential cognitive-enhancing effects.
Dosage in studies: Effective dosages in studies often range from 200mg to 400mg.
Contrast with NooCube: The assessed formula uses an 8:1 concentrate, so milligram amounts cannot be compared directly with other ginseng preparations without considering their extraction and standardization.
Pterostilbene:
NooCube dosage: 140mcg of Pterostilbene.
Scientific evidence: Pterostilbene is found in blueberries and may have antioxidant properties but is less studied for cognitive effects.
Dosage in studies: Limited studies on cognitive effects make it difficult to establish a standard dosage.
Contrast with NooCube: NooCube's dosage is significantly lower than what is commonly studied for potential benefits, and more research is needed in this area.
Resveratrol:
NooCube dosage: 14.3mg of Resveratrol.
Scientific evidence: Resveratrol, found in red grapes, has antioxidant properties but is not a primary nootropic compound.
Dosage in studies: Studies often use higher doses for potential health benefits, making the dosage in NooCube relatively low.
Contrast with NooCube: NooCube's dosage is lower than what's typically used for health-related benefits associated with Resveratrol.
Cat’s Claw 4:1 Concentrate:
NooCube dosage: 175mg of Cat’s Claw 4:1 Concentrate.
Scientific evidence: Cat's Claw is traditionally used for it’s potential immune-boosting properties, but it’s cognitive effects are less established.
Dosage in studies: Dosages can vary depending on the form of Cat's Claw used, but cognitive studies are limited.
Contrast with NooCube: The amount is disclosed, but human research on cognitive benefits remains limited.
Potential side effects from NooCube:
Based on the ingredients and dosages used in NooCube, I feel that there could be several potential side effects that users should be aware of. The likelihood and severity depend on individual sensitivity, health and other medicines. Personally, I didn't experience any side effects during my extended test period with NooCube, but this is not to say that others may not also.
Gastrointestinal Distress:
Ingredient: Choline (100mg from 250mg choline bitartrate).
Potential side effects: Gastrointestinal distress, including nausea, stomach cramps, or diarrhoea.
My perspective: NooCube contributes 100mg of choline per serving. Individuals with sensitivity to choline or pre-existing gastrointestinal issues should use caution.
Headaches:
Ingredient: L-tyrosine (250mg).
Potential side effects: Headaches, especially at higher doses.
My perspective: NooCube's dosage of L-tyrosine may lead to headaches in some individuals, particularly those sensitive to changes in dopamine levels. If headaches occur, stop taking it and seek advice rather than increasing or repeatedly adjusting the dose.
Sleep Disturbances:
Ingredient: L-theanine (100mg).
Potential side effects: Mild drowsiness, potentially affecting sleep patterns.
My perspective: While L-theanine is associated with relaxation, individual responses vary. Follow the product directions and seek advice if you notice sleep changes.
Blood Pressure Changes:
Ingredient: Panax Ginseng 8:1 Concentrate (20mg).
Potential side effects: Changes in blood pressure.
My perspective: A small extract weight does not rule out an effect or interaction. Individuals with hypertension or those taking blood-pressure medicines should discuss suitability with a healthcare professional.
Interactions with Medications:
Ingredients: Choline (100mg from 250mg choline bitartrate) and other ingredients.
Potential side effects: Interactions with certain medications.
My perspective: Individuals taking medications should consult a healthcare professional before using NooCube to ensure safety.
Overstimulation:
Ingredients: Combination of ingredients.
Potential side effects: Overstimulation, restlessness, jitteriness, or anxiety.
My perspective: The risk of overstimulation depends on individual tolerance and sensitivity. Users should follow the labelled directions and stop taking the product if adverse effects occur.
My point of view is basically that it's wise to use NooCube as directed and be cautious if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or are taking medications. If you experience any persistent side effects, discontinue use and you should certainly consult a healthcare professional.
My summary and product recommendation:
NooCube helped to improve my clarity of thought: NooCube is reasonably good at boosting focus and problem-solving skills, making you think more clearly.
NooCube helped to enhance my memory: This supplement might support memory, helping you stay alert and remember things better.
NooCube delivered some of what it promised in a practical way with real life outcomes : My test results and real user experiences support some of NooCube's claims.
NooCube is high quality and innovative: It’s made with high-quality ingredients and utilising the latest scientific research, NooCube's new formula released in February 2024 further improves what I thought was already an exceptional product.
However, there is an even better alternative: Despite my conclusion that NooCube is a very very good product indeed, my testing and analysis has shown ThinkEase to be even more comprehensively formulated and more effective in use. It provided me with even greater improvements to focus, mental agility and memory when I also had the opportunity to test it. So out of the two, this would come recommended as even better.
My overall verdict on NooCube and some initial insight on ThinkEase:
NooCube is a very good brain supplement. It offers some clear benefits for cognitive performance, memory enhancement, and overall brain health. It's performed fairly well in testing for sure, but not as strongly as my top-rated nootropic, ThinkEase. This product certainly edged ahead and delivered even better results.
ThinkEase has a strong foundation in scientific research: One of ThinkEase's most impressive aspects is it’s strong foundation in scientific research. Each ingredient, including Bacopa Monnieri, L-theanine, and Citicoline, has been carefully chosen based on evidence supporting their effectiveness in boosting memory, focus, and mental alertness. The individual doses are disclosed, allowing comparison with the research.
ThinkEase provided demonstrable real world results: My own hands on experience with ThinkEase has been remarkable when I got the opportunity to try it. The outcomes I observed closely matched the claims made by the brand. My experience included noticeable improvements in focus, problem-solving abilities, memory, and mental alertness, along with a significant reduction in fatigue-related brain fog. ThinkEase met and often exceeded our expectations, making it the best nootropic supplement I have tested in recent times.
ThinkEase has a clear commitment to quality and safety: ThinkEase's dedication to quality is evident in its use of premium ingredients and adherence to industry standards.

Our Recommendation: It’s a close fought contest between these two products, but based on my our long-term test results and opportunities to test ThinkEase, I would highly recommend ThinkEase out of the two. It’s for anyone seeking a reliable brain supplement containing researched ingredients. Whether you are a student looking to improve focus and study efficiency, a professional seeking a mental edge at work, or someone interested in long-term brain health, they are both excellent choices but ThinkEase nudges it as my preferred out of the two.
